About Web Point Spider
Web Point Spider LLC is a small web company based in Denver, Colorado. We build simple, free tools that help people understand their home and office internet connections.
What we offer
Our main tool is a browser-based speed test. It measures download speed, upload speed, ping and jitter without an App to install and without an account. Alongside the test we publish short, plain-English notes on what the numbers mean and how to improve a connection.
How the test works
When you press Start Test, your browser sends and receives test data to Cloudflare's public speed-test servers and times each step. All the calculations happen on your own device. The results appear on your screen and are not sent back to us.
Results depend on your network, your device, your browser and the route to the test server, so two tests a few minutes apart can differ. We describe the test as a helpful snapshot, not an official or certified measurement.
Independence
We are not an internet provider and we are not affiliated with Cloudflare or any provider whose name may appear in your results. The ISP name shown on the page comes from public network registration data for your IP address.
